El moro es un plato típico de República Dominicana, es súper delicioso y a mí me encanta porque siempre lo he comido desde pequeña ya que mi papá es dominicano, estando aquí en Perú ya tenía mucho tiempo sin comer.

  1. 1/4 de kilo de caraotas (frejol) cocidas
  2. 3 tazas arroz
  3. 1 pimentón
  4. 1 cebolla mediana
  5. 2 ramas cebollín (cebolla china)

  8. Aceite
  9. Al gusto sal

  1. Picar la cebolla, pimentón, cebollín y ajo en cuadritos pequeños.
  2. En una olla grande para toda la preparación sofreír todos los vegetales picados en aceite por unos 3 minutos a fuego bajo, seguidamente añadir la pasta de tomate y remover constantemente.
  3. Después que estén fritos los aliños con la pasta de tomate añadir las caraotas, la cuáles deben tener un poco de caldo.
  4. Seguidamente agregar dos tazas y media de agua o las necesarias para cocinar el arroz pero considerando que las caraotas ya tienen líquido.
  5. Cocinar a fuego mínimo y removiendo constantemente hasta que hierva.
  6. En ese momento se debe incluir el arroz a la preparación, el cual debe estar lavado.
  7. Cuando el arroz está casi seco, juntarlo en el centro de la olla y cubrirlo con una bolsa plástica húmeda.
  8. Después de unos 10 minutos, invertir la posición del arroz y lo que estaba abajo moverlo hacia arriba, y nuevamente colocar la bolsa plástica.
  9. Al cabo de unos 10 minutos revisar si el arroz está listo y apagar el fuego.
